Although a little pricey, the product works well.  We have 3, 100 gallon commercial water heaters.  We de-lime them every 3 months, with Mag-Erad.  At the cost of the Mag-Erad, this prevention is a toss up at best.  The water heaters cost $2,100 new.  If they last 3 years, the cost of the Mag-Erad every 3 months, will cost more than a new water heater.  In our case, if we could buy in bulk, get free shipping, or a discount, it would be worth it.  This goes for residential water heaters also.  Just too pricey.

I have used C.L.R.  de-limer before -  it doesn't appear to dissolve much calcium build-up and for about a week after, the hot water looks and feels like real thick soap bubbles.  Mag-Erad  dissolves out the lime better, it is natural organic and it leaves no soapy bubbles problem.
