The solid-state Taco Post Purge Plug-In Card maintains power to the circulator once the priority zone is satisfied, but does not fire the boiler. The circulator purges excess heat into the priority zone, minimizing stand-by loss during warm weather months and optimizing boiler operation when used with a boiler reset control. Power can be maintained to the circulator from 20 seconds to 7 minutes using an adjustable potentiometer. Using the extra set of dry contacts provided on the card to emulate aquastat closure, you can use the Taco PC600 with boilers that have an integrated reset control.

The solid-state Taco Priority Protection Plug-In Card helps prevent freeze-ups in the event of a priority zone failure. If the priority zone calls for heat continuously for more than one hour, power is returned to the space heating zones, allowing all the zones to function independently. Once the priority zone is satisfied, the control's auto-reset is activated and the priority zone is again allowed to have priority for up to one hour.

The Taco Pump Exercise Plug-In Card is a solid-state, universal timer designed to cycle all the pumps that are attached to the Expandable Switching Relay(s) at selected time intervals. This minimizes seasonal start-up problems generally associated with harsh water conditions. You can configure the control to reduce the chance of freeze-ups by cycling the pumps more often during cold weather months. In addition, by using the PC610 to systematically circulate the water, you can minimize bacteria that utilize domestic hot water heaters as their heat source.

The Taco Boiler Reset Control is designed to improve performance in your hot water heating systems by regulating the supply water temperature of a single boiler based on the outdoor temperature. The control utilizes a heating curve to set the relationship between outdoor temperature and supply water temperature to provide optimum control and comfort. Thanks to its integral microprocessor, the PC700 is able to continuously adjust the boiler differential to avoid boiler short-cycling and large temperature swings, Standard functions include warm weather shut down, minimum boiler supply temperature setting, and a starting water temperature setting. A liquid crystal display clearly shows the boiler supply temperature and other monitored temperatures and settings for simple and effective control.

The PC702 offers all the feature of the PC700 and in addition includes an adjustable interstage relay setting, boiler staging using proportional, integral and derivative (PID) logic, optional boiler rotation and a domestic hot water demand output.

With the Taco Variable Speed Pump Mixing Control you can regulate the supply water temperature to a heating system by simultaneously controlling a boiler and the speed of an injection pump. Based on the outdoor air temperature, the PC705 continuously adjusts the boiler differential to optimize the firing cycles of the boiler, prevent large water temperature swings and increase the efficiency of your system. As the heating load changes, the Taco Mixing Control automatically adjusts the injector circulator, increasing its speed as load increases and slowing it with a decreasing load.
